Action for Children

We provide specialist support for children and young people aged 0-17 who are likely to present emotional and mental difficulties but do not meet the thresholds for more specialist services. Through early intervention we are able to build resilience and reduce the development of more serious emotional and mental health issues, better preparing children and young people for the challenges of life.

Issues that children and young people might be facing:

• Bereavement.

• Parental separation.

• Self-esteem.

• Bullying.

• Transitions.

• Sexuality.

• Managing behaviour at home/school.

We can support through:

• 1-1 direct work.

• Family support.

• Group interventions.

• Digital offers.

• Evidence based programmes for children and parents.
